Be a Blessing

I signed up to be a part of reading the Bible in 90 days through Moms Toolbox.  The summer session started July 11. At seven days into my reading schedule, I have finished Genesis and Exodus. Amy, from Mom's Toolbox, writes out her observations after each day's reading. I am going to write out my observations after each book. I will follow the SOAP method that is used on Mom's Toolbox.

Genesis

Scripture: I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. Genesis 12:2, NLT

Observation:  God has a plan to bless the nations through His people.

Application: I am one of God's people. He has a plan for me. Part of that plan is for me to be a blessing to others. 

There may be times when I mess up or try to do things my own way like the people in the book of Genesis. Even when I don't listen, or I really mess things up, God is there, providing redemption for me in his ultimate plan.

God may choose to use even my trials and hard circumstances to bring Him glory or provide an opportunity to bless people around me.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, Thank you for your blessings. Help me to see that I am blessed.  Please help me to see new ways in which I can be a blessing to those around me. Show me the plan you have for me.  Help me to trust you and follow your way. Help me to trust you even when things are hard and I don't understand the situation. Your ways are greater than my ways.
